Background

The aim of the project was to increase competences and capabilities of employees of our language school to achieve personalisation of our courses. In our organisation our project was related to our aims to increase the quality of our courses, development of new courses, keeping high student satisfaction and school internationalisation. In particular we need to focus on improvement of employees' abilities to personalize the courses to individual needs of our students. Our students come with higher and higher expectations and requirements, especially on time of the course, its contents and methodology. We have to personalize the courses to their needs and requirements. This means high demands on our teachers and coordinators who have to understand the motivation and requirements of the students and then create the courses complying with such needs and requirements of the students, teachers and school alike. Especially teachers get into situations which they are not trained for - they have to negotiate with the students, adjust the curriculum and lesson plans, understand their needs and bring new solutions, create new creative procedures. However, high demands are placed also on administrative and management staff who are in an intermediary position and have to achieve satisfation of all participants (students, teachers and school).
