Objectives

The Current situation in European Union is debating about the conflicts in the Eastern part of Europe and EaP region. The situation during the last year is becoming more stressed not just in the political level but as well in the youth sector. Hate speech is still huge problem within the countries, especially in developing countries. A particularly difficult situation is in EaP region, where because of active policy processes, confrontation and speech of hate reached the peak. The societies where we live are becoming more and more intercultural but the walls between these cultures do not let them interact and peacefuly coexist. The reason is that young people do not have opportunitity to get to know other nations, cultures as the component of intercultural learning is not present in the formal education system, and not every young person can efford participating in extra curriculum activities which in most of the coutries are paid. In this sense, intercultural learning is extremely important, more than ever before as it can help avoiding numerous conflicts and misunderstandings. Through this project we want the participants from countries , which have difficulties in intercultural dialogue between themselves to have a platform for exploring their national identity and finding common criteria between each other. The aim of the training is to empower and equip young leaders and youth workers with negotiation, intercultural communication, diversity management and conflict resolution skills on personal, interpersonal and organizational level to contribute to the culture of peace and cooperation. Discuss today’s political confrontations in Europe and neighboring countries , go deeper to self assessment, find the details of their cultural belongings and how the cultural and national identity and pride are reflected in each individual. Find common values and create negotiation and dialogue between participants. Foster them to emphasize the importance of bilateral and intercultural dialogue and the importance of Gathering to live together. Motivate the young individuals to come up with long-lasting project ideas to undertake in their home countries upon changing attitudes and fostering intercultural dialogue. To achieve this, we set the following objectives: • Equip participants with interpersonal communication and negotiation skills ; • Explore tools, approaches and attitudes for effective conflict intervention and resolving seemingly intractable disputes on all levels (personal, organizational, community and country level) ; • Develop and promote intercultural competences and diversity management skills for youth work in multi-cultural environments with high conflict risks. Encourage participants to see diversity as an opportunity for value creation and cooperation; • Promote need of tolerance in society full of differencies; • Promote active citizenship and non-violent actions towards peace and democracy; • to develop communication and social skills, and improve the sense of initiative and negotiation through improvisational theater • to provide a space for sharing best practices focusing on using non-formal educational methods in the field of youth work ; • to introduce Youth Pass as a tool for self-assessment, evaluation and recognition of non-formal learning ; • foster international development cooperation between European, Caucasian and Eastern partnership regions and their neighboring countries ; Based on this, project participants will have a chance form a network of friends who have similar interests in bringing positive change to their communities. They will meet adults and leaders who can help them with their goals. Most importantly, they will understand that they have potential to make the world a better place, and they will use the skills they learn at a young age for the rest of their lives. Developing communication and social skills, improving sense of initiative and negotiation will enable participants and their organisations to increase the chances of youth to enter active citizenship. Knowledge sharing in terms of non-formal educational methods in youth work will strengthen the enhanced cooperation between participating organisations. Introducing Youthpass as a self-assessment and evaluation tool will strengthen the recognition of non-formal learning. Future project development will contribute to the enhanced international development cooperation between the European regions.
