Objectives

heART Project is a training course for youth workers about embodiment as a way to approach and work with disadvantaged groups. Our aim is to give participants space and tools to explore and experience embodied learning techniques (non-verbal & vocal) in order to apply them in their own context and support their target groups. We will create different learning processes, founded on the principles of - among others - body awareness, voice expression, storytelling and theatre. The activities will be based on non-formal and experiential learning methodologies with a participant centred approach. A big part of the training course is focused on creating activities for and with young people of the local project Bojovat Srdcem (Fight with Heart). It is running as an afterschool activity in the local elementary school Zelesice and supports young people with fewer opportunities (learning disabilities and behavioral disorders) with their integration into society through embodied arts. There will be a strong focus on using digital tools to enhance the learning process and to create powerful dissemination material. The objectives: - the youthworkers to become familiar with embodied tools that will be presented in the TC and bring variety in their working style - to provide the youthworkers with opportunities to practice and combine embodiment with their own methods - to support the youthworkers to bring learnings to their own context in order to reach out for the marginalized groups that are facing social exclusion - to promote the Erasmus+ programme and the nonformal education methodology as effective tools to support the inclusion of marginalized people Mission statement: The mission of heART Project is to foster and spread basic EU principles and values, mainly tolerance and respect, towards everybody with no exclusion. Through heART Project we want to offer new perspectives, solutions and tools for these youth workers so they can create authentic and sustainable personal changes in young people in order to support their inclusion into society. Vision statement: This topic corresponds to the vision we share with our partners: an inclusive society which embraces diversity and where individuals develop their potential for the benefit of their own and the whole society. This vision of inclusive society is based on EU principals. We believe that creating a space where new opportunities, experiences and inspiration shared by people with similar needs will lead to efficient non-formal learning and result in implementing newly acquired skills into local environment.
