Objectives

We want to equip youthworkers with new curriculum and educational methods they can use in their work with young people, especially while working with media literacy and critical thinking. The result of our project would be youthworkers with advanced knowledge on the topics, plus great skills and abilities to transfer these knowledge to young people. Aim of the project is: Tackle media illiteracy and consumerism with new, innovative methods. 1) give youthworkers practical skills to access media and other sources on advanced level, to evaluate and analyze it in a critical way 2) the ability to think clearly and rationally, understanding the logical connection between ideas; 3) critical thinking as a skill of being an active learner rather than a passive recipient of information; 4) to present simulation game as a way of transferring these skills to youngsters; 5) developing various interactive methods to spread these information-based skills; 6) to engage young people in “real world” issues and help them see themselves as active citizens and potential contributors to public debate By achieving these objectives, we believe we can meet the needs and objectives of our partners and solve some issues that are raging in their (and our) communities.
