The project STEP OUT was based on previous experience from formal education, over-curricular activities run alongside school system and general needs of young people in fast changing life. The whole project was based on three major areas that were and still are becoming very important in ever day life, communication, ability to use one's talent and willingness to risk -> how to use our potential. Main goals were set according to two areas. 1st: How to use communication and enhance communication skills in order to understand yourself and others. This premise was build on experience with young generation that struggles communicate their needs and wants directly and openly without help of social networks. Through this project we achieved growth with most of the participants in the are of their personal communication, including self honesty, based on the evaluation from theparticpiants and the monitoring of their learning outcomes (debriefing after activites, etc.) ).It is very crucial when it comes to personal development. Other major part of communication we managed to develop during the second stage was the ability to express yourself and understand each other. These two are closely connected because being able to describe things for oneself leads to ability to solve them, as well as ability to communicate more clearly leads to solving and fixing problems, relationships, friendships, etc in daily life. Clear expression leads also to better teamwork and satisfaction in project creation, youth work, project coordination and project management. As our participants were youthworkers, interns and employees of NGO‘s, this aspect was highly articulated by the group as very beneficial. Us, organizers, perceive in the same way, as many aspects learnt during the TC are now being used on daily basis in our organizations. Clear communication and aspect of project management are main, also better understanding of ourselves and self work that are being openly discussed in our teams also lead to more professional, more effective and more focused work in our organizations. Between the stages due to COVID 19 we kept in touch online - the 2nd stage had to be postponed but we had two levels of communication: with partners and with the group. With partners, we had regular calls when updating each other about the current situation and also supporting each other in the organization level - it was difficult time for all of us and with the participants: we continued working on their communication & personal development skills through various tasks, activities and online calls. We adapted to the occurred situation when during this stressful time, it was very important to work on understading our emotions, feelings and care about internal communication. This was highly appreciated both by all the partners and the participants. This way we tried to help them to make sense out of the situation and help them realize how they can learn and grow even out of missed chances and difficult situation. Also, there were 3 online meetings that were initiated by one of the participant (Nandor). This happened because participants dearly missed each other. In this project, we managed to work a lot on group dynamics and trust (as it was needed in this topic). So what exceeded our expectations was this spontaneous and enormous support in the group during the pandemic times. 2nd : Personal development which is connected to each of us as a person living our lives. This is always challenging area that requires broader understanding of the environment and working group. From this project it means helping participants to use fully their potential, revealing their talent and helping them to get hold of it. To measure personal development is always very difficult because very often it is a question of several weeks (or months even) after the training when participants would start realizing the impact of the training. Nevertheless based on their final evaluation and responses during the second stage, we managed to accomplish deep personal and professional development needed for them as human beings and youthworkers. For instance we kept in touch with one of the Czech participants – Markéta that is working in the low-threshold centres and she shared with us that the impact of the project on her life was enormous. She kept thinking about the activity with the masks, where the participants were describing their masks that they are using in their life with different people. In conclusion it was a very good decision at the beginning of the project that we simplified our goals and focused mainly on developing two ares in respect of each of the participants personality to achieve individual understanding and growth. Alongside with soft skills we managed to reinforce possibility of other non-formal education aspects such as culture interexchange, language exchange, personal bonding, and establishing new relationships across EU and beyond. We are happy to say that the group is still in touch and there are "project babies" - some mini projects that are beautiful outcomes of this long-learning project.
