The content of our project includes answers to the problem of orphaned children and how they can be brought into society. The problem of orphaned children is the general problem of all countries in the world. For this purpose, children are placed in the dormitories and some children continue to live on the streets. Children living in orphanages continue their education, but those who live on the streets cannot do so. Because they usually have to work to sustain their lives. Looking at orphans from a child’s perspective; “The reason I ran away from home was because my father passed away 27 days after I was born, and when I was three months old, my mom dropped me off at my grandparents’ and went to her father's house.” “My uncles were sending me to school in the morning, then to beg for money in the afternoon and I was beaten when I didn't come home with money. As if it was not enough, they were speaking ill of me to our relatives.” “My brother couldn't stand and ran away from home, so I decided to run away after him. When I came to Prague, I thought I could find my brother and that we would work together, and I had no idea that my brother had gone down before me.” As it is known, the sense of rejection which develops due to past experiences in children in need of protection leads to insecurity and social incompatibility. These individuals, who cannot establish a communication with the society, have anger towards the society and have the potential to commit crime. Or they use drugs to avoid the emotions and to cope with them. In this vicious circle, the gap between the sides is growing and reaching irreparable dimensions. As a result; it is very important for these children to grow up in the orphanages when they start to live on the street as a small child. Although it is the social service authorities who follow these children, it is the duty of the society to gain them into society and to prevent them from isolating themselves from social life. We decided to be the voice of the orphans together with our partners and prepared our project for application. The main aim of our project is to create a sense of mutual trust by strengthening the bond between society and the children in need of protection. Thus, it is aimed to prevent the tendency of children to use drugs due to emotional deprivation and to increase the social welfare by reducing the crime rate observed in these individuals. The other aims of our project are intercultural interaction of young people and, as a result, prevent discrimination, xenophobia and racism; awakening curiosity about foreign language learning; to increase their self-confidence, discovering personal skills through social dialogue; raising awareness on non-formal education methods and dissemination of Erasmus + Program. Various activities have been prepared to achieve our goals. One of the most important factors to improve the quality of our project is to keep the motivation of the participants high and create the team spirit. For this purpose, various ice breaker games have been added to our activity program. Our activities “Music Balloons” and “Electric Fence” can be given as examples to ice breaker and integration games. In this way, the participants will be able to throw away their shyness, work together and make their thoughts clear. Participants who have the chance to work together with people from different countries and cultures will have intercultural interaction and thus will be cleared from their prejudices. They will have the consciousness and desire to learn language by performing language activities like “Think of a Number” activity. Thanks to the cultural festival, our participants who will increase their intellectual level will approach other nations and cultures with tolerance. In our activity program, there are activities to inform participants, educators and public on the children in need of protection. For example, in “False Facts” activity, participants and guests will be informed about the errors and correct communication methods frequently encountered in communication development for children in need of protection. There is also an activity on raising awareness among children in need of protection in terms of substance abuse. In this activity, it was aimed to reach as many children as possible so that the children who are in need of protection are prevented from using drugs. In the activity to be carried out with secondary school students, strengthening the communication between children in need of protection and their peers is determined as the main target. During these activities, Erasmus plus brochures will be distributed and people will be informed about it.
