Objectives

The main goal of internships was the development of professional competences and personal development of students and teachers. In addition to hard skills, especially the technical ones, internships also positively support the development of soft skills such as communication, cooperation, problem solving, adaptability and above all, the ability and willingness to learn new things. Thanks to participation in foreign internships, the participants develop their language skills, social skills, the ability to orientate in a new environment and the knowledge of a different culture and work habits. To ensure the quality of vocational training, all traineeships implemented the European system for increasing the quality of mobility in vocational education ECVET. All students during their internships used learning outcomes unit and evaluation forms prepared for each field of study, always together with partner organizations and final companies. Thanks to this, it was possible to maintain the high quality of the content of the internships and at the same time it facilitated the recognition of the outputs of the internships. The goal of the projects was also to increase the prestige and attractiveness of studying technical fields.

Background

The project Vocational training in EU countries included professional teaching internships, short-term and long-term internships for 3rd and 4th grade students. The Erasmus+ project has a very positive impact mainly in personal development and in the possibility of gaining new experience and skills. By implementing the project, the school fulfills the Internationalization Strategy plan, in which the development of international cooperation is anchored. The school's strategy is to enable as many students as possible to gain work experience in a real working environment as well as an international experience. Professional internships abroad for pupils and teachers have become part of vocational education and thereby advance it to an indisputably higher quality. The participants could confront the professional competences acquired in the framework of mobility in European educational institutions and international companies, involved in the mobility process, with existing knowledge and skills. A teacher who has participated in an internship abroad is very beneficial for the school, because he can pass on the acquired knowledge, skills and knowledge not only to pupils, but to all other colleagues.
