Countries: CZ · Grant: €28,131

Objectives

The goals of the project were achieved in accordance with the long-term plan set out in the school's internationalization strategy. We implemented 10 short-term mobility of pupils in VET in Malta for economic fields, IT, and public administration. The host organizations provided valuable feedback for updating the school's subject matter and teaching methods in the context of contemporary international practice. In the same way, it was possible to multiply the contribution in the field of soft skills. It was also possible to organize fourteen-day teaching assignments for a teacher and project coordinator at a partner school in Askim, Norway. We have built a large, motivated, and well-functioning project team, including the involvement of the entire school management. Due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, 6 planned three-month ErasmusPro mobilities in the most affected health and social care sector, specifically in nursing homes in Germany, could not be carried out.

Background

The short-term mobility in the VET project continues our school's long-standing tradition, which is proud that international activities are its "signature" and brand. We understand foreign work experience as necessary for acquiring and improving the professional and soft skills acquired during the studies. Of course, the whole school, teachers, management, and even administrative and economical employees benefit from the organization of mobilities. They all get the opportunity to face new challenges and work procedures, abilities, and skills, which they will use during the preparations for classes and in the daily teaching process. The reason for submitting the project application was also the ambition to support the ability to work in a team and improve the managerial competencies of the school's staff. And last but not least, the expansion of the network of partner organizations abroad. In this project application, we devised an innovative type of mobility - a fourteen-day teaching stay of a school employee abroad. This is a build-up to the job shadowing activity that we implemented earlier. As experienced applicants and a school with internationalization as its hallmark, we need to gain deep foreign experience and inspiration.
