The goal of the project was to provide our students as well as teachers with quality training in foreign companies and institutions within their professional development and to enable them to gain new experience and knowledge in the European Union labor market. The aim of our school is, within the principle of internationalization of vocational education, to educate such students who will be qualified workers abroad as well as at home. Students of the fourth year and, for the first time, teachers of vocational subjects were to take part in the project in the form of foreign internships. We planned to send 20 students and 3 teachers each year during the project. The internships were to take place in selected EU countries. Students were to follow up on compulsory professional internships held in the third year of their studies in companies and institutions in the Liberec Region. The aim was to build their self confidence, to get to know their strengths and weaknesses and the value of foreign cultures, furthermore, to educate promising employees with international experience and deeper knowledge of practical skills and qualifications. The goal of mobility of teachers teaching vocational subjects was to expand knowledge in the field of accounting, administration or new teaching methods.
We decided to apply to enable our students to increase their professional skills and to increase the professional development of our teachers of specialized subjects. We wanted to give the participants a chance to gain new experience and knowledge abroad, so that they can implement them in their furher studies and professional life in the future. We wanted all the participants to expand their competencies in practical skills, in foreign languages and to acquire professional behavior in an international context. We also wanted to motivate the participants to further self education and improving their qualifications and to enable other students and teachers to gain experience abroad and increase their interest in participating in the project Mobility at our school. The trips also contribute to the development of internationalization, help build the school's good reputation, the visibility of the Liberec region abroad and the development of contacts between our region and other regions in the countries of the European Union. We also wanted to share this experience with public.
