The main focus of our project rests on a deeper professional understanding and competences in accordance to our school's internal developmental goals: self-learning competences, focussing on learners' needs, open learning, recognizing one's own potential, peer education as well as deeper understand for life-long learning. This knowledge should be rendered viable for everyone in our institution. Moreover, students should learn more about cultural identity of the host countries. In the sense of European plurality, every participant should reach a minimum level of language competence of the host and international languages. The main focus lies on the positive learning experience abroad, in order to become "Inter-European Ambassadors".
The project "European Peer Education" is orientated towards the needs of learners and trainees, employees, as well as staff of the Alice Salomon Schule. The European dimension should broaden the curriculum's spectrum of all participants and should allow them to broaden their cultural and professional horizons. Not only individuals but also the whole institution should benefit from these learning experiences, very much in the spirit of our project "European Peer Education". As learning implies a reciprocal process, partners and institutions involved should benefit from the pool of experience as well. Therefore, this projects lays the foundation for "life-long learning". Moreover, we will inform the general public with the help of PR, such as meetings, social media, etc.
