Objectives

We want to enhance the internationalisation of the BSZ Schongau. The new partnership with Luksia is essential and should be improved over the next few years. It is interesting to gain some insight in other educational systems and to understand why other educational systems are way better compared to Germany (source: PISA study). So it is possible to get some ideas of new ways of vocational education and to transfer these ideas to our vocational system in order to have potential for improvement. Moreover, the skills of our attendees will be improved by doing a traineeship in a foreign country and in a foreign company. They therefore have to be open-mindend, motivated and self concious to deal with the challenges offered in this internship. All these help them to enhance their skills and competences. With regard to the journey to Finland the trainees should support their digital skills by getting to know new programs and tools.

Background

With this project we wanted to extend the internationalisation of the BSZ Schongau. With more cooperations all over Europe it was a main aim to enhance the quality of our vocational system and to stay competitive in comparison to other schools and universities. Furthermore, it was quite important to strengthen the lesson quality offered at our vocational school centre by connecting theoretical and practical issues of the vocatinal education and by using international knowledge when teaching our trainees. Therefore it was necessary that our trainees and our teachers had the possibility to improve their foreign language skills and to became aware of new cultures in order to communicate adequately with the people living in this countries. Moreover it was important that the attendees were able to enhance further skills, which are today essential in our daily working life: flexibility, mobility, self-confidence and dealing with new digital challenges. With enhancing all these skills we are hopefully able to create an european awareness and make them more qualified for working at the european labour market. With regard to our teacher mobilities it is essential to find new partners which we do by sending teachers to different countries.
