Objectives

Through the project we want to implement learning-oriented results and expand our knowledge in order to be able to acquire more interns. The project aims to support our interns in their first or second training by passing on the newly acquired specialist knowledge of our practice instructors. Identified best-practice methods will have a positive impact on everyday work and the pedagogical concept for traineeship training. Based on the holistic and democratic understanding of education anchored in the Saxon education plan in a rapidly changing society, the pedagogical staff should be asked to reflect on their pedagogical work and trainer activities through lifelong learning. The knowledge gained should improve the quality of the practical instructions. The current immigration of refugees will accelerate this process of intercultural opening in our facility and thus also have an impact on education. The resulting expansion of the educational content should be carried into the team as a multiplication effect to increase quality. Furthermore, the participants have the opportunity to receive suggestions for future contents of continuing education.

Background

The "Flohkiste goes Europe" project was implemented because internationalization and intercultural influences have become increasingly important for our facility. The pedagogical processing of this topic will be an important element of qualitative further development in the training of pedagogical interns and students of social work in the future. Furthermore, our team was interested in the organization of European institutions, the training conditions, duration of training, training paths, training qualifications, requirements and the financing of training in Sweden compared to Saxony. The use of teaching materials and methods of the institutions in Sweden compared to our institution in Germany in the training of specialists was another reason for the project implementation. Internationalization is an integral part of strategic development in the professional field of educators. During the internships in the Swedish facilities, the focus was also on the international comparison of the pedagogical concepts, the implementation of inclusion work and the perspectives of media work and digitization in day-care facilities.
