The main objectives for the participants were threefold: First, they should experience working abroad in a professional context and thus broaden and cement their professional competences. They should also further their knowledge of English and become confident in using the language. Above all, they should broaden their professional and social horizons and make contacts which could easily lead to further professional collaborations and steady them in their personal development.
Our goal was to increase the working opportunities of German trained technicians in both a German and a European context. The professional competences of Pharmaceutical- Chemical- and Environmental Technicians whose training is below tertiary level should be recognised and appreciated throughout Europe.
