The primary goal for our school was to take another step towards internationalization. In order to prepare the students for the international working world, it is important that they gain experience in other European countries and we also give the teachers the opportunity to make their lessons more intercultural. The aim is to develop professional skills, as well as to learn about new work structures and improve language skills. These experiences also improve the students' chances on the job market. The competencies gained will make our students more attractive to dual partners in the business world, who are becoming increasingly interculturally oriented. Furthermore, we open up new opportunities for the students to broaden their horizons. After the stay abroad, they can perhaps imagine applying for jobs throughout Europe and not just throughout Germany. In this way, the shortage of skilled workers in Europe can be remedied. We will also become more attractive as a school by offering stays abroad and making our teaching more bilingual. There is a lot of competition, especially among technical schools. This will enable us to increase the number of students in the coming years.
In order to meet our internal school quality goal "We prepare students for the requirements of the international working world", we wanted to offer more students at our school the opportunity to spend time abroad. Therefore, we completed our first project with the specialized students. Our long-term goal is to make our students more intercultural in order to increase their chances on the job market. Our dual partners in the economy are strongly expanding their international activities, which is why we want to provide our students with more international experiences accordingly. Furthermore, we wanted to provide our teachers with insights into the everyday life of our foreign colleagues through job shadowing and internships. This opens their own horizons and gives them new impulses for their own future. Through the experience gained, one's own teaching can be improved and adapted. The quality of teaching is improved by new teaching and learning methods. It would also be conceivable that a lasting international relationship between our school and the Swedish school could take place. Regular job shadowings could be carried out.
