The aim of the project was to promote the internationalization of training, the civic engagement of students and the international network of educational institutions. With the help of job-related mobility, young people should train important skills such as tolerance, openness and self-confidence and get to know the value of cross-border education, exchange and diversity. The participants should be encouraged to take responsibility themselves, to work towards their goals and to question things. Within the framework of inclusion, the project also wanted to reach those students for whom a stay abroad seems to be more difficult due to their psychological or social situation. At the same time, the international network of Bremen's vocational schools and educational institutions was to be expanded. Many of the training institutions where the students are taught have a very small, mostly personal network of foreign contacts. Because the trainees took part in the project, they brought new contacts with them and thus expanded the existing network and the possibilities of the individual schools and institutions.
This project was carried out in order to make the vocational training landscape in Bremen more international. Many vocational schools do not have the means and/or contacts to apply for and successfully implement ERASMUS+ projects themselves. With this project we are therefore addressing all trainees and vocational students in Bremen and beyond. The possibility should be created to give every trainee and every vocational student access to a work experience abroad as part of vocational training - regardless of the school or company in which the training is completed.
