On the personal level of the participants, the focus was on personal, intercultural and professional development. The participants' experience of being a stranger in a country whose language is not spoken also brought about a change in perspective. This enabled them to put themselves in the shoes of the migrants who are increasingly being cared for in their daily work. On the organisational level, the further development and consolidation of the international partnerships was an important goal. Through the joint exchange of good practice and the critical examination of the respective training systems of the countries, the association was able to develop new approaches for the work and strategies for dealing with difficulties in reaching the target group thanks to the employees. Furthermore, in 2019 we had already set the goal of focusing on increasing digitalisation in our work. A topic that became more present than ever a year later. The central themes of the study visits were labour market-specific topics including career guidance/youth unemployment, inclusion - equality and access for disadvantaged people.
Since 2001, the association KIDS & CO has been internationally active in the implementation of learning mobilities as a sending and receiving institution for teachers and learners as well as international youth meetings. The exchange on a European level is always experienced as enriching the work and increasing the motivation of the participating colleagues, so that the organisation KIDS & CO has firmly implemented the learning mobility for the educational staff within the framework of the European development plan. Our goal was to find answers to various questions together with our international partners, such as "How do we want to live tomorrow? What opportunities does digitalisation offer us and how do we deal with risks pedagogically? How do we implement equal opportunities in terms of education and labour market integration? With which offers do we reach disadvantaged target groups particularly effectively and thus support their integration into society and the labour market? Which successful integration models in work with refugees can be transferred?" The consolidation of existing partnerships and the further development of cooperation were also important to us. Thus, a KA2 partnership emerged from this project.
