EU-funded internships abroad for trainees as well as the mobilities of educational staff were to be firmly anchored at EBS. On the one hand, it was about improving the quality of education, teaching skills in the international workplace, as well as improving teaching. The importance of the EU as well as the relevance of the perceptions of intercultural competence and dealing with the diversity that the school offers, as well as the international diversity in the workplace and the concrete experience over a longer period of time in a foreign culture, are of great importance for our school and should be firmly integrated into our school culture. Educational staff should also serve as role models and motivation here to always remain curious and inquisitive. The discussion about climate and environment have long ceased to be national issues - in the area of entrepreneurial activities and the behaviour of each individual - should be considered internationally - among other things in the perception of the use of means of transport as well as the importance of sustainability in companies, schools and one's own actions.
As a commercial school in a region with international trade relations, it is part of our daily routine to bring in this internationality, especially with a commercial context, and therefore also offer internships abroad. In addition to the international reference, it is also about improving the foreign language and promoting personal competences that the trainees acquire. This also included democracy building and understanding the achievements of the EU. Furthermore, the mobility of educational staff is also part of the concept of internationalisation - in addition to intercultural and pedagogical exchange, this also includes professional training, especially when subject content is applied in practice in the EU and worldwide - in the field of freight forwarding and logistics, for example.
