Background

In the context of growing internationalisation, increasing professional mobility and more complex requirements in a globalised world, the Walter-Eucken Berufskolleg (WEBK) is striving for an even clearer profile as a modern school with a European focus that expands the professional competence of the trainees in professional and intercultural terms in order to prepare them adequately for the challenges of their future professional life. This also requires an appropriately qualified and internationally oriented teaching staff. The European dimension is firmly anchored in the school programme as a guiding goal. WEBK has set itself the objective of educating pupils with specific language and European skills as well as a high degree of intercultural competence through appropriate teaching offers, project work, certificate courses and internships abroad in order to prepare them in the best possible way for their later (professional) life. This project is part of the school's long-term excellence initiative to promote cross-border mobility in order to make dual vocational training attractive as an alternative to university studies, especially for high-achieving and motivated trainees.
