Objectives

As already explained in detail in the application, the objectives of the project were as follows: 1. as in previous years, this project was intended to promote and challenge educational staff and trainees professionally, linguistically and culturally in the spirit of European unification. Students from all walks of life should be given the opportunity to study abroad, regardless of their parents' financial means. 2. The BS2 as an organisation should also benefit from this project, in that the goal formulated in the school's internal understanding of quality "better integration of external partners" could ideally be implemented within the framework of the project. By disseminating the project results externally, the school's reputation among trainers and generally in the region/society increases. For the educational staff, the project should result in an increase in competence that has a direct impact on everyday teaching. 3. Furthermore, we wanted to meet the desire of many companies to internationalise dual training and thus make it more attractive. This is also against the background of the shortage of skilled workers.

Background

As already explained in detail in the application in the "European Development Plan", the main motivation of BS2 to carry out this project resulted from the following aspects: Due to the geographical location of Aschaffenburg in the heart of Europe, many companies operate internationally and expect their employees to have the corresponding competences. These include not only foreign language skills, but also cultural openness and tolerance. Our Erasmus projects have been firmly integrated into school life for years and the opportunity to send trainees abroad was once again welcomed by the training companies in our region. The opportunity to send trainees abroad has once again been gladly accepted by the training companies in our region and more and more companies are willing to motivate and release their trainees for our projects. In times of a shortage of applicants, companies have also recognised that a stay abroad significantly enhances the value of dual training and makes it even more attractive for young people. In addition, with this project, BS2 wanted to give the teachers the opportunity to think outside the box and to advance the organisational and teaching development at our school with new impulses.
