Our declared long term aim is to give as many in-company trainees as possible the "chance for Europe". The project objective was to send a minimum of 250 of 255 planned trainees at maximum budget utilisation and 35 participants from the VET staff group and to establish mobility as an excellent component of dual training. Another goal was to constantly include ECVET in our mobility activities for apprentices. Here we have continued to work on the basis of already developed units of learning outcomes to implement them with existing cooperation partners abroad and to introduce new partners to the system. For us it is a success that the demand for our offer is now increasing again despite Corona and that many apprentices and young professionals now want to catch up on their postponed stay abroad. This has enabled us to successfully and sustainably establish Azubi-Mobil as a nationwide regular offer for VET mobilities.
IHK-Projektgesellschaft is essentially pursuing the mission of securing skilled labour in Brandenburg through internationalisation and mobilities for VET. In the last 10 years and with over 2,500 individual nationwide foreign qualifications and assignments of trainees as well as study trips for vocational staff from our region, Azubi-Mobil have made a decisive contribution to the attractiveness of dual vocational training. In addition, through continuous cooperation with companies and vocational schools, as well as recommendations from participants who have already taken part, we have contributed to further anchoring transnational mobilities as a matter of course in vocational education and training. Thus, the benefit of mobilities is seen more and more by the companies. According to the feedback in the participants' reports and on our website, the participants felt strengthened in their independence after an internship abroad and were able to gain insight into the differences in the living and working environment in other European countries. This increases both the understanding for our fellow European citizens, other ways of behaving, and the appreciation of the German standard in dual training.
