The Schulzentrum Bamberg aims to develop into a regionally significant and internationally networked training centre in the field of initial and further vocational education and training, whose teachers and students are sustainably motivated to actively use the diverse opportunities offered by the European labour market at many educational levels of the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning (EQF). To ensure the high quality of education, teachers will be actively further qualified by participating in national and international in-service training in order to learn how to use new methods in the efficient transfer of knowledge. Through the use of new media, learners are also to be increasingly qualified to expand their knowledge independently within the framework of lifelong learning.
Following the internationalisation strategy, the Staatliche Berufliche Schulzentrum Bamberg (industrial-technical vocational school, vocational school for technical assistants, technical school for mechatronics technology) has already gained profitable and motivating experience for teachers and students in the European exchange of different vocational groups. European partners are the broad-based and professionally organised training centre Omnia , the Department for Education and University of the Balearic Islands and two vocational schools in the Czech Republic (Strední skola a Zakladni skola, Vimperk / Stredni prumyslova skola, Tachov) within the framework of a successfully completed Leonardo da Vinci project and several Erasmus+ projects. This European cooperation is to be further consolidated with the help of this project and extended to other professional groups. All European training institutions show a broad overlap of the professional groups taught with the Schulzentrum Bamberg and, together with their experience for the professional development of educational staff, are ideal European partners for the Schulzentrum Bamberg to achieve the goals described below.
