Objectives

A key objective was to inspire and convince young people of the European idea and the European Union by letting them experience active partnership. Especially the mobility between partner institutions promotes and develops an open and critical view of your partner country and also of the achievements and circumstances in your own country. All participants were anticipated to significantly increase their social and intercultural skills and to gain practical experience in a foreign work environment by focusing on selected topics and key points of expertise. In addition to that, innovative impulses for quality development were to be expected.

Background

Andreas Gordon vocational school in Erfurt/ Germany has applied for and put into practice the mobility project "Developing a strong and modern Europe together through innovations and Digitization 4.0" with "Stredna odborna skola informacnych technologii" vocational school in Banska Bystrica/ Slovakia as our partner school. Our Slovak partner school has had a close partnership with the Deutsche Telekom AG training center in Erfurt for many years. Andreas Gordon vocational school is continuing this partnership. We have been accepting trainees from our partner school every year since 2016 and sending trainees to Slovakia since 2018. Our school implemented a project within the framework of this project application in 2019 already. Back then, 12 trainees visited our partner school in Banska Bystrica for 14 days from September 15 through September 28. Unfortunately, the second requested mobility period could not take place in the required time period due to Corona restrictions.
