Objectives

The main objective was to promote the participants' occupation-specific, social, personal, linguistic and intercultural competences. A continuation, deepening or expansion of training-relevant content was to be made possible abroad. This should result in an increase in the participants' labour market opportunities. The participants' increased willingness to be mobile as a result of a stay abroad and the broadening of their own horizons should also strengthen their own European identity. Furthermore, it was a major concern that young adults with support needs or disadvantages (e.g. from one of the association's internal vocational orientation measures) should be reached.

Background

Through the Erasmus+ project, IN VIA Köln e.V. was able to enable young people in or after their training or in their vocational qualification phase a work placement abroad. A big motivation for the implementation of the project was to enable young people to have a work-related experience abroad, so that they can broaden their own horizons, develop their strengths and learn to represent their own interests.
