Objectives

In that particular project, students and trainers were given the opportunuity to go to Sweden and Slovakia.Further projects could not be completed due to the pandemic. For students the aim of the project was to give them the opportunity to make experiences in one of Europes most modern car manufacturing plants. They received insights in modern technologies and modern approaches to flexible routines in the work process. Furthermore students had been obliged to use merely English as their mean of communication within the working process. Thus they gained confidence in their professional competences as well as in their cultural awarness and their language skills! Teachers/traiers in Arvika were given the opportunity to get a thorrough insight into the teaching of non- mothertongue students as well as of the inclusive teaching of students with special needs.

Background

Integrated in the school program of the Oskar-von-Miller-school, the school action guideline "We encourage under the aspect of lifelong learning,self-learning and action.” requires as a result of the economic globalization that the OvM offers students opportunities to develop their professional and personal skills through working and learning experiences abroad. At the same time it is necessary to qualify the teachers accordingly so as to introduce new impulses and ideas for the school and teaching development in the Oskar-von-Miller-school. This applies to the training personnel especially in the field of schooling / vocational preparation of refugees as well as to the topic of inclusive schooling. With the Erasmus+ project for mobility of students and educational staff in VET Challenge Europe - Chances for the future (EUChallange)", Oskar- von-Miller-School in Kassel wants to give the appropriate opportunities to enable the learners of the cooperative vocational education system (Dual VET system) and the VET teachers to acquire or deepen the above mentioned competencies.
