The project's title was KICK_IT_OFF and it aimed to facilitate interships in foreign counties for apprentices and teaching staff alike, with the overall objective of kicking off people's careers.
The internships were expected to boost competences that are deemed indispensable in the apprentices' or teaching staff's professional respective careers, such as self-esteem, use of foreign language, independence, credibility in teaching, living and working in a non-native environment. Likewise the internship were expected to help to overcome prejudices, to raise interest in other cultures, to to cope with diversity in peoples' backgrounds and to foster intercultural learning.
