Long-term benefits We assume that the 'mobility climate' will improve even further both locally and regionally as a result of our assignments, in that not only will the 'assignment culture' develop positively, but the willingness to accept guest interns will also increase. In this respect, the 'welcoming culture' in the JadeBay region will also improve and the qualified learning location cooperation in the area of internationalization will result in positive effects for the JadeBay business location.
Project background The "Internationale Berufsbildung Jade", IBJ for short, is a cooperation of four vocational schools which has already been since 2007 under the common name of mobility projects in initial vocational training. The nucleus of the cooperation is the BBS Wilhelmshaven, which, within the framework of "Jade Train 2018-2020", for the last time acted as coordinator of the IBJ joint cooperation office. Since 2013, the IBJ was at the same time one of 4 Lower Saxonian Mobility Centers at vocational schools. The catchment area of the IBJ is congruent with the economic region of JadeBay, in which tourism (Wadden Sea World Heritage), port and logistics industry (Jade-Weser Port), Mechanical engineering/aircraft technology and the service sector are of high importance. The mix of industries combined with demographic change and the region's need for skilled workers require vocational schools that promote internationalization and mobility, thus enhancing the attractiveness of JadeBay as an educational and business location and as a place to live. JadeBay as a place to live. Project goals 1. establishment of a common quality standard for mobilities within the IBJ as well as in the international network together with the training companies in the region. 2. acquisition of international professional competence and professionalization on the part of all those involved in the learning learning arrangement "mobility" - trainees, teachers and trainers. 3. 3. expansion of the mobilities to so far not active occupational fields of the consortium IBJ under integration of so far not active teachers and if possible teachers and, if possible, trainers of relevant courses of education at the IBJ schools. 4. expansion, multiplication and further professionalization of the educational personnel in schools and companies based on on ECVET. 5. stabilization and continuity of the work in the existing international partner network and its targeted expansion Number and profile of participants A total of 3 persons of the educational staff (teachers) participate in these mobilities. The educational staff is active in the fields of foreign languages, agricultural economy and vocational preparation. Description of the activities On the one hand, the educational staff was present at the start of an international project for students. On the other hand to intensify existing contacts and to generate further partner companies for future exchanges. The last mobility in this project served the preparation and elaboration of an activity program for students of the BBS Wilhelmshaven in autumn 2022. Results and impacts We are striving to increase the competence of the educational staff in the areas of intercultural competencies, international professional competence, foreign language competence and 'network competence', which not only promotes the personal development of individuals, but also the professionalization of the IBJ schools. Internationalization in the IBJ schools in the sense of the given "strategic development framework" for Lower Saxony vocational schools.
