Objectives

By implementing this project in the area of vocational training in close cooperation with companies, BWHW is pursuing the goal of closing the gap between training seekers and vacancies and strengthening the career prospects of young adults in the long term. At the same time, we support companies in securing their need for skilled workers. Internationalization as an expansion of economic activities is also having an increasing impact on jobs for which vocational training is a prerequisite. That is why learning experiences such as European mobility and the acquisition of cross-cutting key competencies are already of great relevance during initial vocational training. With this application, we would therefore like to enable 30 trainees, primarily from SMEs, to spend a period of generally four to six weeks abroad over the next two years. In particular, the trainees will learn about typical national work processes in professionally relevant situations and develop and demonstrate their mobility and flexibility for the European labor market.

Background

Due to the growing number of international participants in all BWHW projects, the internationalization of our institution is an active and continuous development process. The internationalization is lived in practice in all areas, be it with the international staff, many participants with a migration background, current projects for refugees or international youth encounters. Through our self-image as a learning organization, we would like to achieve further improvements in this area and continue to develop. The further professionalization of the pedagogical staff of the BWHW as important carriers of the internationalization process, is an area of need. Another field is the expansion of exchange and cooperation in the international network. This also includes establishing further contacts with international institutions and using the European funding programs more intensively and to a greater extent.
