The target was to train the vocational training staff to become interculturally trained multiplicators who would carry the acquired knowledge and project results into their own work and educational reality. The international and intercultural opening of all participating institutions should be promoted. During the stay, the vocational training staff visited vocational trainings and employment institutions and get to know vocational training measures in practice in other European countries. The participants should also have the opportunity for personal exchange with the experts on site and professional dialogue about experiences, current developments, innovative projects and creative strategies. A continuous evaluation with the participants should take place both during and after the learning stay. The results of the evaluations should serve as a basis for future projects and other exchange programs. The evaluation results should be used in the working groups set up to continue the project results. Networks should be established, expanded and improved.
The situation of youth unemployment and the high number of open training places is an acute problem. Vocational training plays a key role here. The vocational training staff is required to develop support concepts that support young people in the transition from school, training, work and their social integration. There is an enormous need for networking and for exchanging information about the implementation and success factors of innovative approaches. At the same time, the number of trainees with a migration background is increasing. Intercultural skills are required in order to safely master intercultural situations. The Kolping Academy Ingolstadt carried out the project in order to train its own staff, as well as specialist staff who work for the Kolping Academy Ingolstadt, through mobility to other European countries, to improve international and intercultural skills and to build, expand and consolidate networks. Specialists in vocational training should be trained through work shadowing, specialist exchange and knowledge acquisition.
