The aim was to use methodologically-didactically good and modern material, Both for the projects that the Westphalian Forum carries out and for the training events and seminars, it is important to maintain a "short exchange wire" to the European partners, because this makes it possible to use transnational teams of speakers, to plan meetings and conferences together and to develop material across borders. This is supported by measures such as job shadowing, because through these job shadowing activities the colleagues know each other, know from each other what they address in their events and can pass on information and materials to the others in a targeted way. In this way, we achieve a level of topicality that cannot be taken for granted, but which is of great relevance for broad-based information about other EU countries. Only in this way can we deal responsibly with issues affecting the European Union and be sure that we are fulfilling our information mandate. We strive to use the network as a functioning basis for European educational work. This includes jointly developed project initiatives. Five new applications have been submitted.
The project "Europe: sharing experiences – together shaping its form " has been applied for in 2019 because after more than 20 years of European project work, we felt that we should visit our partners in their normal everyday business and - as far as possible - support them in addition to the ongoing project meetings. The focus was on job shadowing. These visits and job shadowing served both training and contact with colleagues in the partner institutions. They were largely reciprocal, as it was agreed with the partners that experiences should also be exchanged here in Westphalia and new methods and materials tested. In addition, there were also to be initiatives to expand the network, this is the reason that not all partner institutions could be definitively named at the time of application. We wanted to maintain contact with the partners and inform ourselves as comprehensively as possible about their work on the ground in order to design new project initiatives on this basis. We consider the exchange of experiences and materials in job shadowing to be relevant for a successful partnership.
