For years, our focus has been on the incorporation of internationally oriented learning content as an integral part of our overall learning offer. European mobility motivated teachers to continue their education. The goal of establishing multicultural components in the various departments, expanding and improving the variety of methods and didactic quality in an interdisciplinary manner has been successfully achieved and what has been learned is now being implemented - after the interruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Teachers had the opportunity to discover new methods, such as learner-centred teaching and e-learning, and to exchange ideas with other EU lecturers to broaden their horizons, develop new flexibility and build networks in the EU. There was a need for innovative teaching and learning concepts in the language and arts fields. The pandemic has made it even more necessary to master online tools. The teachers have learned to use online tools better and to integrate them into the lessons (e.g. Skype, blogs, youtube, online exhibitions). This applies in particular to the areas of language acquisition, communication, professional development and literacy. Integrative approach in teaching was a key objective of DIP.
The Adult Education Centre in Olching (vhs) defines development goals for its range of programs as part of its quality management. Accordingly, it takes measures for personnel and organisational development. In fact the vhs can only meet the social challenges with its educational mission if it can also cover the need for qualified teachers and optimize the administrative processes. Continuous further training of the staff is seen as a matter of course. With the international orientation, we specifically strengthen the interdisciplinary skills of the teachers. This also applies to the administrative staff with regard to program planning and organization in the vhs.
