For the above-mentioned reasons, we wanted to train, sensitise and qualify both our students and our teachers even more intensively in the field of intercultural competence. The participants should gain professional experience abroad, improve their personal intercultural competence and be able to prove this with the corresponding certificates and additional qualifications. Organisational development: Based on the evaluation of the results and with the help of best practice examples from our partner institutions, teaching modules will be developed to enhance the intercultural competence of our students. In this way, non-participating learners can also benefit. The modules created are to be used both for teaching and as a component of the additional certificate "International Competence", which interested trainees can acquire as part of their training at our school. In addition, we want to further expand our internationalisation strategy.
Today's working environment is becoming increasingly international. Also social life/social coexistence requires increasingly the key qualification "international competence". Culturally different people should be able to live together respectfully and harmoniously, work together and communicate without major misunderstandings. An important starting point for this is knowledge about other cultures, about similarities and differences, about different communication styles and, in a professional context, about different business etiquettes in different countries. Intercultural competence, work experience abroad as well as international qualifications and certificates are therefore also becoming increasingly important for young professionals to be able to compete successfully on the international labour market.
