Objectives

The objectives of our project were geared to the further development of the central themes and the mission statement of MBS and focused in particular on the areas of digitization, sustainable education, curriculum work, inclusion, and the ability to act and cooperate. One strand of action was, for example, bringing together trainees from different occupational areas with trainees from other European countries in order to work together in a team to develop a concrete product. We have already had good experience with this approach in the past in breaking down prejudices and language barriers. Another goal was to win new cooperation partners for educational programs and thus to find a perspective replacement for the mobilities to Manchester. The most important goal for teacher mobilities was the exchange on didactic and content programs and the curricular work of the different educational institutions. In addition, we wanted to strengthen exchanges of experience with European teachers, discussions in the areas of inclusion, pedagogical school and language support in dual vocational training. At the management level, we also set ourselves the goal of initiating an international exchange on the topic of school management.

Background

The aim of the Erasmus+ project was above all to continue the long-standing internationalization and to implement it permanently within the school structures. In addition, the high value of European cooperation was to be demonstrated to the management and our employees. And last but not least, this thoroughly positive topic was to contribute to supporting the growing together of the two former schools within the framework of the ongoing merger process. On a subject-related content level, it was important to us to enable the learners to develop competencies in the area of European/foreign competencies (social competencies, language competencies and intercultural competencies) with the help of stays abroad. For this reason, the European mobilities were specifically adapted to the contents, needs and requirements of the different educational programs of the Max Bill School. This also includes the further development of the school's internal curriculum in exchange with other European educational institutions in order to strengthen the professional competencies of learners and teachers and to expand international professional competencies. 34 mobilities for teachers and 40 mobilities for learners have been applied for.
