Objectives

In the 2019 - 2022 Erasmus+ application round, we have applied for 22 mobilities for trainees and three mobilities for educational staff. In each application round, we set ourselves the goal of including additional professional groups. Postings only took place to Romania in this application round due to the Covid situation. As a rule, we send our trainees alone or to Romania in pairs. Each trainee is assigned to the Heraeus company in accordance with his or her job description and takes on tasks in day-to-day business or smaller projects. The metalworking trainees usually provide support in maintenance, but some trainees also carry out process improvements on existing procedures or machines. The commercial trainees provide support in the areas of marketing, sales, travel planning or assistance. The chemical trainees work in the laboratory and carry out experiments, while the chemical technicians are deployed in production and control various machines. An important goal of the 6 - 8 week stays abroad is the personality development of our trainees. Living in another country, taking care of themselves as well as the integration into existing, international teams promote the self-confidence of our trainees. Different IT systems or other techniques promote the flexibility of the young employees.
