The LKS pursues its internationalization with very high quality and determination. To this end, the medium- to long-term internationalization strategy was defined in the Erasmus+ team in November and December 2018 and adapted in the SQV. All projects abroad for trainees and our educational staff in companies and the trainees in our vocational schools should be a permanent part of our school life and made publicly available to students and teachers alike. With this application, we wanted to make further and even more intensive use of the EU programs and bring even more trainees to European countries. Through all our previous activities, a sustainable network of cooperation had been formed. Our dual partners now support our activities by: - Releasing trainees for the stays abroad - Hosting trainees from our European partners - Cooperation in the further development of our internationalization strategy - training and further education of the educational staff of our partner institutions in companies in the region - supra-regional dissemination of the results to other places that are important for vocational training - logistical support of our Erasmus projects by sending project funds - application to the selection committee of the German School Award to honor the Lorenz-Kaim-Schule for its engagement Finland Since we have been a school of excellence for "Economy 4.0" (smart factory) since 2018, we wanted to use the 2019 application , to position ourselves even more broadly in the area of "digitalization" and to collaborate newly with colleagues in Finland. The university located in Vantaa offers various training courses on this, which we wanted to use. We also planned to start a cooperation with Lansivannikon Loulutus Oy in Rauma with 4 trainees from companies. We hoped that this would be a further development for our subject teaching. Spain Since 2018, we have been in cooperation with two agencies in Torrox and Rincón de la Victoria, respectively. Through this, we planned to bring students from the area BFS Hotel and Tourism Management in a multi-week internship in Spain. In the run-up a language course takes place locally. To ensure the quality we use the OLS language test and language course. To further improve communication with the agencies and the internship companies, we need more language competence. For this purpose, educational staff should attend language courses. Our goal was to find more local internships for our students. The second mainstay in Spain should be the internship of four students of the BFS Kinderpflege in the bilingual kindergarten NovaSchool Anoreta, which is arranged by the Centro Ecomenico. This is also an opportunity for teachers to receive further training. Cyprus We planned to once again deepen the cooperation with our partner C'Technical School and continue the learning tools created in the 2016 project. The plan was for educational staff from the LKS school to build on-site prototypes of the contactor boards created in 2017 with trainees from our dual training program and educational staff from the various Cypriot vocational education schools following a curriculum. The vision was that every technical vocational school in Cyprus would use contactor boards according to a uniform curriculum. In this way, we wanted to advance vocational education in Cyprus and contribute to a European learning standard. The teacher of our partner school, Pavlos Aristodemos, succeeded in his professional advancement to the ministry there through the project in 2017 and is driving this project forward locally. In addition, we planned to bring bakers (3), electricians (4)(all dual training) and 4 students of the BFS Hotel and Tourism Management to the 5-star hotels in Limassol. Thereby we hoped for a further opening network in our region as well as an improvement in the education in Cyprus. We need these emerging intensive relationships to further our internationalization and to take our region along on the path of industrial disruption. Especially for our region it is of immanent importance that the trainers open up and that the dual education is adapted to the changing conditions. Austria In cooperation with the company Emco in Hallein, we wanted to use their training center in Austria to train 4 trainees and one teacher in the field of metal technology in the area. In this way, we hoped that teachers and students would be up to date with the latest technology. We also wanted to use this input at our school to advance the learning content at LKS in practical learning areas in metal technology with the latest know how, such as CNC programming. Hungary The partnership in Kiskunhalas, which has existed for 30 years, should be maintained and the existing town twinning should also be filled with lifence for 30 years, was to be continued and
The Lorenz-Kaim-Schule, the State Vocational School Center Kronach, has been running Erasmus + projects since 2014 in order to - To enable trainees in dual training to gain experience in the professional world in other European countries, - to give trainers from well-known companies an insight into vocational training in our partner countries or schools, - to enable trainees in school-based vocational training to gain practical work experience in other European countries, - to provide educational staff with language and cultural training in our partner institutions. In addition, we would like to open our region to the European market of skilled workers and to familiarize further vocational training bodies with the Erasmus+ program. By further body we understand the IHK and HWK at Upper Franconian level, district councils and city councils in the district of Kronach, colleagues of secondary schools in the region (Realschule, Gymnasium, Mittelschule), Innovation Center Kronach and the newly created Lucas-Cranach-Campus. The 2019 project was planned as the largest of the previous projects, as we had succeeded in building sustainable networks through our intensive cooperation with our European partners in Cyprus, Spain, Hungary and Finland. We wanted to use these for the benefit of our educational institution, the educational region of Upper Franconia and also the economic region. Unfortunately, the onset of the pandemic significantly disrupted our activities and we were only able to carry out part of them.
