The opportunity to do an internship abroad is increasingly being taken up and used by learners. The goals of the project are: to increase the participants' independence, to expand their language and intercultural skills, and to increase their professional competence by giving them an insight into the everyday working life of a foreign company.
The Hans-Böckler-Berufskolleg has the task of ensuring vocational education and stimulating openness, tolerance and interest in cultural diversity. As part of the educational work, learners are prepared for employment in the European labour market. They complete internships abroad in a number of European countries, such as Great Britain, Ireland, Malta, Spain, Poland, Denmark, Austria and Turkey.
