Objectives

We absolutely lived up to our project title "Learning-Teaching-Designing - Together we form Europe". With these individual aspects in mind, we planned individual work steps for good teaching with our partner college. Our specifications were, - the framework curriculum, -examining content and the teaching materials from work plans by the teaching staff. We specified the subject areas because we four teachers from Mainz came from different subject areas (German, metal technology, electrical engineering and computer science). So we designed the lessons together. We got to know our profession again, abroad - at the partner school and taught foreign pupils. As a result, we formed Europe together. It quickly became clear to us and our partner college, "Yes it is possible! Schools can work together and teach across borders ”. This is an important aspect for our youth today and for a Europe that is growing together. A challenge that we want to continue to face in the future. In our final discussion with the school management there, we all agreed that such a cooperative measure with sustainability should be seen as a contribution to a peaceful and democratic Europe. We definitely want to continue such a project in the future.

Background

There were several reasons for this for us. Since our first application, we have been seeing our trainees with great enthusiasm when carrying out mobility projects. They reported on their valuable intercultural and professional experience. This inspired our teachers very much, so that one wanted to experience these experiences. Another reason was our European School certification. This award quickly made it clear to the entire college that we think and act internationally and internationally. The work of our European School working group is also helpful here. This solidifies the European idea in and outside of school with special activities. The reason for our project was that we wanted to plan and conduct classes with our partners. It was also very important to us to see the work at the partner school. In addition, we wanted to support the college there through our cooperative participation and at the same time learn how to teach our content in a completely different way.
