The primary objective of the project "Keep Going Europe" was to enhance the teachers’ language competences, to strengthen the use of digital media, to gain professional and international experience and to acquire intercultural and international competences. The participants should gain an insight into different European educational systems, get to know new teaching methods and tools to improve their teaching competence and increase their professional and occupational knowledge. The colleagues not teaching a foreign language should enhance their foreign language skills and gain an insight into the culture, the vocational and advanced training of the visited country and into aspects of cooperative learning. They should also gain competences in digitization, receive tips about how to integrate history, literature, film, and entrepreneurship into teaching. The intention of job shadowing was to get to know the different educational and vocational systems in the participating countries and to improve both the participants’ intercultural and professional competences. The teachers’ motivation and their job satisfaction should be increased.
Professionalzing teaching staff in areas relevant to Europe is part of the training concept of BBZ Mölln. To continue to implement the European idea at school, mobility projects and partnerships are supported as well as the qualification of teachers for a successful implementation of such projects. Therefore, mobility projects or partnerships and the qualification of teachers are supported. For further qualification, teachers should take advantage of training offers to enhance their foreign language skills, intercultural as well as international, media and digital competences. Accordingly, within the framework of the project "Keep Going Europe - Implementing the European Idea at BBZ Mölln", teachers were given the opportunity to enhance their foreign language skills, to improve their media and digital competences as well as to expand their intercultural and international competences through learning stays, by participating in structured courses or by taking part in a job shadowing activity at an educational institution in Europe. Through the project, we wanted to enhance the professional and intercultural competences of our teachers and further implement the European idea at BBZ Mölln.
