Background

As a professional highschool we know about the changement from the regional labour market to the Europeam labour market. It is necessary to adapt to the changed conditions and to take the chance to prepare our students for Europe and the labour market there. We also will be able to organize internships in Europa on base of this project. For being and developping our school into a school which is open for Europe we like to increase the intercultural competences of our teachers. The new learned skills can be used as learning and teaching methods to enrich the schools life and make it better. During intercultural courses and seminars for project management we are able to learn more about these intercultural skills, also because of the presence of teachers from different European countries in the courses. The courses are lasting one week, which opens the opportunity to make intercurltural experiences not only during the working hours but also during the breaks and also to get informations about the hosting country which are much more than touristic ones. We try to find partners for our next Erasmus + projects, to get know to them more intense for creating a base for students exchanges or Job-shadowing The Jobshadowing in our partnerschools in Portugal, Spain, Italy and Estonia should strenghten existing contacts and create new ones. So it will be possible to prepare new Erasmus projects. The presence in the hosting coutry, the possibility to get know personally with the teachers opens the chance to create a good working atmosphere and confidence for the work on new ideas. The intense contact to the teachers, the informations about the education systems and the conditions of every hosting country will be used for making our own school better. It is also an aim of the project to motivate and include teachers which are not teaching languages. We like to motivate them to take part of a project where is used a foreign language. They should loose the fear of communication in English, to become more open minded for European projects and to motivate the rest of the teachers. The combination of jobshadowing and structured courses for finding new partners seems to be perfect for our school.
