The aim of the project was to strengthen the intercultural skills of the team of teachers and educators at the Steinheid primary school. This included the development of knowledge, skills and abilities in project organization and project planning with regard to the implementation of European educational projects. Furthermore, it was necessary to develop and strengthen skills in the context of social learning, dealing with digital media and education and training in the field of sustainability by participating in courses. By participating in job shadowing measures, it was important to get to know the school system and school organization in other European countries and to further develop skills in the social, communicative and organizational areas. Participation in language courses should strengthen the language skills of the teachers and educators and thus prepare the employees for the realization of bilingual lessons and participation in European educational projects. Great importance was attached to the transfer to one's own school in each of the sub-areas.
The Steinheid State Primary School is a European school. A part of the school concept is the European education and training plan. The work of the European partner schools on joint projects as well as the European advanced and further training of the teachers are anchored here. The school's team of teachers and educators is committed to the European idea in all questions of educational work. Targeted further and advanced training within a European framework, participation in structured courses and sitting in on partner schools that correspond to the objectives of the education and training plan are of the utmost importance for all team members. This is the only way to achieve the objectives (project work with European partner schools, bilingual teaching, offers in the foreign language area...).
