In this way, we hoped that the project would strengthen the school's profile and make our secondary school (open Europa-Gymnasium) more attractive to the outside world. The new learning areas and the I-Pad classrooms were set up and needed competent teachers to be used in a pedagogically meaningful way. During the lockdown, many teachers were able to acquire new skills in digitalization and expand their knowledge. On the other hand, our students suffered from large achievement gaps, so in July 2021, we decided to dedicate ourselves to a new area, that is student development and support.
In 2019, our school faced a variety of challenges: Pupil numbers were falling, extensive renovation work was taking place with new learning areas, and digitization was to be advanced. Furthermore, the core teaching staff was getting older and needed new impulses, especially in the area of teacher health. Therefore, we wanted to become active and help shape our new school.
