Background

The project S.M.I.L.E. followed the very successful Kick-Off project that initiated the Erasmus+ activities at BK Neandertal in 2018. Being aware that that European exchanges offer tremendous benefits not only to learners but also to teachers has led to an increased interest in participating in mobilities. At Berufskolleg Neandertal, a continuous Erasmus+ professionalisation of teachers is of great importance for ensuring the quality of teaching as well as the European exchange (networking with European colleagues, cooperation projects with learners) and its associated sustainable implementation of the European dimension of teaching and learning.
