Objectives

Through the project, our teachers gained professional and foreign language competences, insights into international organisations and management and created and improved their unique profiles of being a vocational school teacher. Due to growing herterogeneity in ethnicity and academic potential and performance of our students the job as a vocational teacher has become more demanding. Thus,we have to intensify our efforts to prepare our students for a professional world characterized by increasing internationality and interculturality. The project helps us to develop our teaching by the following: - coping with multiculturality by creating a greater understanding to cultural diversity of our teaching staff and the students. -optimization of our institutionalized patterns of evaluation to set off changes in the area of digitalization and quality management -increasing ability of teachers to address the needs of the individual student and the enhanced consultation abilities in (inter)national and careers guidance and improve employability of students. - enhancing educators’ professionalism in all areas. -Participants should also become aware of their own culture, its inherent values and their own understanding of democracy.

Background

To sustainably integrate the European idea into the Albert-Schäffle-Schule’s self-conception, we are constantly trying to offer students and teachers the possibility to expand their horizons and and invite people to think outside the box. That ́s why we wanted them to gain insight into international institutions, companies and schools by providing the possibility to take part in work placements, courses, job shadowings and school exchanges.
