This project primarily served FAIRbund e.V.'s endeavour to enable employees of its own 6 day care centres to receive further training in a European context. The original application was submitted together with other day care centres and organisations and the employees of these organisations were also offered the opportunity to participate in the educational trips. The participating institutions are interested in further training for their staff on the topics of: nature education, Reggio education, Pikkler education, work with migrants, participation in the programme "Dream of the good" (mindfulness) in Sweden or participation in the successful programme of the Icelandic colleagues "Smart teachers play more". In addition to the acquisition of methods, the focus is also on the further development of competence in action, networking and exchange with other educators, reflection and communication, as well as intercultural and linguistic competence.
The further qualification of staff in the day care centres is an important component in the concepts of the participating providers. The challenges for the staff are becoming more complex and require further training, especially in the intercultural field. The attitudes of the staff and the reflection on their own work are important reasons for sending staff abroad for training sessions and courses. Another strategic reason is to retain staff in times of a shortage of skilled workers. The funding from the ERASMUS+ project makes wonderful educational trips possible and in addition to the educational content, always has a positive effect on the motivation of the travellers.
