Objectives

The consortium partners wanted to support each other due to their spatial proximity, their focus and existing competences in order to develop guiding ideas on priority topics in school development, such as digital education, common learning, but also the professionalisation of colleges for their own schools. At the municipal level, the project should provide impulses in the area of school development across all school types. In this way, an important foundation stone was to be laid in order to make school education in the project focal points in Moers more transparent in the sense of a continuous educational biography and also to strengthen the exchange with each other and with European good-practice partners. Use of digital media, design of the learning environment and lesson organisation through architecture, modern teaching methods, digital school organisation, joint healthy school life and language learning were the main topics. The resulting contacts should not only lead to further exchange between teachers, but also to the initiation of real or digital school partnerships, which in turn should provide important impulses for the development of the individual schools.

Background

Good education requires innovative programmes and concepts that encourage schools and school authorities to actively work towards improving equitable educational opportunities. We are convinced that any innovation and change can only be successful if schools and education partners work together. The six original participating primary schools with students aged 5-10 and the comprehensive school with students aged 10-19 were committed to this idea. With the help of this training programme consisting of a planned 55 mobilities, which also included courses and job shadowing on the topic of digital and inclusive education, the teachers were to undergo further training in Europe and then act as multipliers within and outside the consortium in order to improve structural and individual conditions for the success of European educational biographies.
