One goal of the project was to consolidate and deepen intercultural skills and project management skills for the internationalization of the school. The international opening of the school is to be included even more in the curriculum. In order to achieve the goals, an open-minded group of teachers has been prepared for the tasks of project management and intercultural work in order to achieve our school's goal of constantly involving many students in European activities in order to expand their intercultural skills and educate them to become citizens open to Europe . For the teacher delegation, it was important to discuss the above-mentioned aspects in a collegial manner and to exchange ideas on a professional level in order to get to know new approaches.
Colleagues were selected for this project to act as disseminators to sustainably improve the intercultural skills and project management skills of the staff and thus increase the number of mobilities at our school. Intercultural learning has a high priority at our school: we are a school with a high proportion of students with a migration background. As a “Europaschule”, we are responsible for strengthening the intercultural skills and the associated openness of the students. The multicultural clientele brings with it the challenges of constantly improving and adapting the quality of teaching and the repertoire of working methods. Therefore, the skills of the employees should be developed or strengthened. The international opening is already anchored in the school program and should be included even more in the curriculum. In times of increasing skepticism about Europe and growing concerns about migrants, the teaching staff should be made even more open and positive about Europe through new impulses, and this should also be transferred to the student body, so that our students are brought up to become citizens open to Europe.
