There are three emportant purposes we liked to achieve: 1. digitization process: We planned setting up tablet classes and tried to get more know how for working with tablets in the classroom. As well, the interests of the students should be considered, who are already very close with the new media and thus a connection to the daily experiences of the students can be achieved. 2. teaching quality. We wanted to set the focus on new teaching methods and innovative concepts. The know how of other teachers seemed particularly significant for us. The same applied to the improvement of pedagogical skills. Our teachers should expand their pedagogical, didactic and methodical repertoire. We hoped that new, innovative teaching methods, but also a view to other european countries, which deal with heterogeneity and diversity beeing at the same time educationally successful, would provide impulses for our work. 3. intercultural skills. We are already facilitating European projects at our school, such as mobilities for our pupils or the exchange and study trips, and would like to put the participation of the teaching staff on a wider base.
Since 2018 we planned mobilities with Erasmus+ (especially for our teachers), because we have very good experiences on many levels in the past project period. The motivated teachers, who have carried the input received from their further training courses into the school and this acchieved a lot of synergy effects. We were convinced by the possibility of tackling individual, school-specific goals in a variety of ways and thereby benefiting from the know-how of other countries and institutions.
