Objectives

We wanted to achieve the following: 1. To have one course on project management as a foundational element of our future work in Erasmus+ projects. The participating colleague was then to share that knowledge with a future Erasmus+ Team at our school. 2. To get to know new ways to work with digital media, especially photo- and video making. The focus here was to garner ideas on how to teach digital media in an interdisciplinary way and on how to teach our students the meaningful usage of digital media. 3. To enhance inclusion at our school through the deepening of language skills of some of our colleagues. Among others, the focus was to be on our department of special needs education. 4. To garner new ideas for teaching in inclusive ways through three job shadowings.

Background

With this project, our school has participated in an Erasmus+ program for the first time. We learned about Eramsus+ through a colleague from another school and wanted to start establishing Erasmus+ projects as a fixture at our school with this project. Erasmus+ seemed like a great opportunity to offer new and exciting structured courses to our faculty and to broaden our horizons through job shadowing. Since inclusion is an integral part of all schools in the federal state of Bremen, we wanted to use this project to strengthen the way we practice inclusion at our school. The plan was to achieve this by extending foreign language skills of our colleagues and by looking for new ideas for inclusive teaching in other countries. Furthermore, the project was intended to broaden the spectrum of our teaching with and of digital media.
