As above
The original planning had to be completely discarded due to the pandemic. The actual start at the beginning of the second half of 19/20 had to be postponed indefinitely. Despite the extension at that time, unfortunately only one of the planned five meetings could take place in Edinburgh due to the pandemic. There were 3 teachers (one workshop teacher from the hospitality industry, one colleague from the hospitality and one colleague from the care and health sector) and 6 trainees (3 trainees from the hospitality / 3 from nursing and health) in Edinburgh in November 2021.Due to the cancelled visits, the project result of the "Brainfood and Wellbeing Day for Seniors" unfortunately could not take place. As a result, there was a change of the project's goal. The end result was no longer the creation of a brochure on various suitable recipes for seniors, but also the design of a blog as a place of virtual and professional encounter for mutual exchange between Edinburgh and Bochum ( blog: https://www.healthy-taste-buddies.de/). On the internal school level, the project was very profitable for the students from both areas and an interprofessional exchange took place between the students from both areas. The students from the hospitality were made aware of the fact that people are getting older and the students from the health and care area were made aware of a healthy diet through the joint exchange and were therefore able to learn a lot from each other. It was important for us that, despite the lack of contact with the partner school, the students could continue to exchange ideas through the blog on a virtual level and that the project would thus become more sustainable. This blog also serves to promote inclusion, as professional contributions can be made at various levels. At teacher level, the visit to Edinburgh College and the virtual meetings resulted in a profitable exchange in terms of teaching methods and being introduced to a teaching day care unit and getting to know professional teaching equipment.
