Project summary

Within the DEAS project colleges and other educational institutions will be developing their work around the topic of “Digital Education” as well as establishing their national and international cooperations. The objective is to gather innovative strategies and digital technologies in the field of teaching and learning by getting to know best-practice examples from each partner country. All partners will integrate suitable approaches to the subject in order to develop its own institution, e.g. further education for staff. The mutual objective of all partners in this project is the great interest in new technolgies, development of digital competencies and innovative curricula as well as new pedagogical methods and design of training measures. Expert meetings on the subject of digital education will support organizational development and new contacts as well as long term partnerships. During the project there will be an analysis of working concepts and plans but also shared international experience. Students will receive the opportunity to take part in experience abroad and to participate in new concepts for digital education in the colleges. A manual “Colleges on their way to digital education – best practice” will document the outcomes of the international collaboration project.

Final report summary

With the help of this project, schools and educational institutions have further developed their work on the topic of digital education and established and/or expanded cooperation both nationally and internationally. Innovative approaches and digital technologies for teaching and learning were collected with the help of best practice visits in the partner country. Working groups across the European borders were used as a basis to further develop their own institution - also in terms of staff training. The participating institutions could deal with new technologies/tools/applications and different digital competences. Curricula could be compared in work phases, pedagogical methods could be discussed. Different focal points were set for each school. For example, work concepts/plans were analyzed in one school, and in another school, experiences abroad were passed on in workshops. In spite of Corona, the students benefited greatly from their experiences abroad and learned more about new digital learning opportunities. Based on the meetings, a manual / handout "Schools on the way to digital education - best practice" was written.
