In our school, we realized that our pupils are away from humanistic values.Too much grouping, criticizing peers cruelly, unwilling to be deskmate or cooperate, complaints of victims, unwillingness to come to school&low academic success pointed bullying.Reports of discipline committee were scanned and "A Need Analysis" was applied to pupils.A seminar about bullying was given to the staff and they were asked to inform the students during classes.Necessary information was shared on different boards at schools. As it is not an issue which only takes in our school, we decided to search the schools having the same problem on international platforms. We became a partner of an eTwinning Project named“You are equality, not bully(ID 190070)” to find solutions together on European stage.Comparisons about the situations at partner’s schools were made on E Twinning. The issues fuelling bullying were discussed. With our partners we were of the opinion that it isn’t just a school problem but it’s involving all society, Both victim or bully need to have the humanistic values since they live as individuals within the society. With international cooperation,we wanted to overcome the issue or decrease its effects, to include more tolerant individuals to society by supporting their linguistic development and self confidence. All the partners applied“Bullying Questionnaire”and shared the results on twinspace We aim to * Open education and innovative practices in a digital era * Decrease the rate of early school leaving and disadvantage * Develop ICT - new technologies - digital competences *provide Inclusion - equity * raise awareness about bullying *change the situations fuelling the issue at schools, *contribute to EUROPEAN CITIZENSHIP by teaching basic humanistic skills *breakdown the prejudices, support linguistic development *promote tolerance in and beyond Europe *bring pupils in working with people from different cultural skills *carry out the whole process with etwinning to work in dicipline and reach wider communities To achieve these aims ABC planned JST activities,Short Term Exchanges of Pupils and project&dissemination activities.A JST(including 8 teachers from all partner schools) and five Short Term Exchanges of Pupils (including 100 students and 40 teachers from all partner schools) were planned.Joint Staff Learning are responsible for training pupils about ICT,short filming and ETwinning.Short Term Exchanges of Pupils aim to draw attention of each type of bullying by shooting 4 short films during each activity and promote linguistic and ICT competence. Project context: In our school, we found through counseling activities and surveys of students that bullying was widespread. The problem was that the victims recognized few help stations and felt abandoned. This is how Project ABC was born. We are actively fighting the problem with international cooperation. In our school, we found that our students faced problems that stood in the way of their success, both academically and socially. Project goals: - Raising awareness of bullying - Eliminate prejudices, promote language development - a reduction in early school leaving and disadvantage - Enable inclusion (justice). - Promote tolerance in and beyond Europe - Contribute to EUROPEAN CITIZENSHIP by teaching basic humanistic skills - an open education and innovative practices in the digital age - Development of ICT - new technologies - digital skills - Involve students in working with people from different cultures Activities carried out: - First a JST activity took place with 8 teachers from all partner schools. This later served as training for students in ICT, short films and eTwinning. - In short-term student exchanges, educational work was first carried out by the teachers on each topic of bullying. The pupils then created scripts that were uploaded to eTwinning and received feedback from all partners. Own posters were designed and published at the end of the activities. - teachers met virtually for planning, preliminary and debriefing as well as evaluation of the processes via Zoom. As part of the project and dissemination activities, the teachers were experts and companions through the JST. The planned dissemination activities include the presentation of the project via the website www.anti-bullying-campaign.com, social media such as Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, eTwinning and Erasmus+ boards, the local press, the organization of an internal school cartoon competition, the organization of Short film days in schools, but also other advertising measures in the area. As a result, we gained digital and language competences, cultural skills, self-confidence and experience of intercultural learning of all participants. The participating schools have more tolerant staff and students who are now taking action to prevent bullying and include these students in the community. Also, an interest in the recognition of foreign languages, European culture and Turkish culture has increased. In addition, the results are used to educate school staff and training sessions on bullying are held. The Violence Prevention Action Plan has been updated in relation to the outcomes of the project. Through constant discussions with counseling teachers and our school social workers, we found out that during the course of the project, interrupted by Corona, the number of complaints linked to bullying decreased. According to the surveys at the start of this project and at the end of the 2021/2022 school year, this percentage fell from 45% to 19% and thus by 26%. Unfortunately, the interruption does not allow a direct comparison with the previous school years, as there were also lockdowns that did not allow discussions. However, it was generally felt that a lockdown made it difficult for the students to socialize and as a result, this number is a confirmation of the effectiveness of the videos, although not all the videos were ready at this point. In these conversations, possible explanations on the part of the students also became clear. The effectiveness of individual videos was pointed out. This therefore means that in many cases bullying was limited to individual types and therefore individual videos in the areas helped. The expected long-term benefit: In the coming school years, the number of bullying cases, both internally and externally, should be further minimized through active discussion. An external statistical survey is sought in talks with institutions. However, this survey is also linked to a motivation of the partners, and it is not guaranteed that a level of trust can be created with personally affected children and adults, so that these surveys are ultimately not manipulated but correspond to the truth. A direct comparison with a survey at the beginning and end of the project shows a clear development in the direction of increased awareness of bullying. It is also now clear to the students where help can be sought or information can be obtained. The daily active, passive recording of the project results in the Erasmus Corner of our school also leads to an active awareness among the students of the THR and its guests.
